George Rosenberg is a highly experienced international FIDIC expert, author and speaker.

George Rosenberg is an experienced senior FIDIC expert and consultant, and a seasoned FIDIC speaker.

His experience includes drafting and negotiating contracts (especially FIDIC) for civil engineering and construction projects, acting as advocate in domestic, ICC, UNCITRAL, DIAC and EDF arbitration as well as litigation and ADR including DAB’s. He acts for governments, developers, service providers, contractors and consultants in arbitration and adjudication. His clients are throughout Europe, Africa, Central Asia, the Middle East and the Far East. He has been appointed as arbitrator in international disputes.

Starting his legal career with his own practice as a barrister and solicitor in his native New Zealand, he then worked with the Hong Kong Government as a prosecutor and later as head of the construction law division and head of the special legal office established to support the Chek Lap Kok airport project – then the world’s largest airport project – one of the first projects outside the US to make use of dispute adjudication.

George’s current work is related to international contracts based mainly on FIDIC forms. He has drafted and negotiated many contracts and acted in many cases where the dispute has centred on the interpretation and application of FIDIC contracts. He has presented many FIDIC Contracts and FIDIC Claims seminars for Cornerstone on the FIDIC 1999 and FIDIC 2017 forms of contract and authored of several chapters in Corbett & Co.’s book on the FIDIC 2017 contract.

George is a well respected FIDIC expert who is recommended by Who’s Who Legal as a top Construction Law Specialist.
